Fire Breaks Out at Two Oil Storage Facilities in Bryansk near Ukraine Border

Sputnik reported a large fire erupted early on the morning of April 25 at an oil storage facility in the Russian city of Bryansk, citing the Emergency Services Ministry, without providing details.

Bryansk is an administrative center located 154 kilometers northeast of Ukraine’s border, near the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, and about 380 kilometers from Russia’s capital, Moscow.

Russian troops were also based near Bryansk, which was an important transit point for Russian military supplies destined for Ukraine.

Numerous footage has surfaced on social media showing an oil depot alight as well as an oil refinery belonging to the Russian state-owned oil company. As of press time, Russian media had remained silent about the fires.
