Several European Countries Reopen Their Embassies In Kyiv, Ukraine

According to a report by Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA) on April 18, embassies of various countries have been relocated from Kyiv since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24. However, after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Kyiv area and northern Ukraine, several European countries have reopened their embassies in the Ukrainian capital.

Italy relocated its diplomats in Kyiv to the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on March 1, and now the Italian embassy in Kyiv has recently reopened on the 18th. In an interview with the Antena3 Television Network, Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez , noted that the Spanish embassy in Kyiv will be reopened shortly, whose personnel previously relocated to Poland after the war.

Turkey, which once moved its embassy in Ukraine to Chernivtsi, near the Romanian border, has now moved back to Kyiv. France also announced last week that its embassy in Ukraine will be moved back to Kiev from Lviv.
