According to a report on July 1st, one day after Russian troops withdrew from strategic islands in the Black Sea, Russia conducted a missile attack on a residential area in a coastal town near the Ukrainian port city Odesa early Friday, killing at least 18 people, including 2 children.
Video of the pre-dawn attack showed buildings burned in the small town of Serhiivka, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) southwest of Odessa. Reports said the missiles hit a multi-storey apartment building and a resort area.
The attack killed 18 people, including 2 children, said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of Ukraine’s presidential office. Serhiy Bratchuk, the spokesman for the Odessa government, said that another 30 people were injured on Telegram.
A Russian missile hit a shopping center in Kremenchuk in central Ukraine on Monday, killing at least 19 people and injuring 62 people, according to reports.
