It was reported on June 20, Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev said he proposed to hold a referendum on the constitutional amendments.
Meanwhile, on June 7, Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdrov announced at a press conference the official results of the referendum on constitutional amendments held on June 5.
The official tally shows that a total of 7985,769 voters participated in the June 5 referendum on constitutional amendments, out of the 11734,642 registered voters nationwide who had the right to vote. The number of voters who voted accounted for 68.05% of the total number of voters. The amendments adopted by a referendum shall take effect immediately from the date of publication of the referendum results.
On January 10, 2021, Kyrgyzstan holds presidential elections and a referendum on the state system of government. Tajikistan held a new presidential election on the 11th, and the election to the upper house of parliament held on March 28, 2020, was the first election to the upper house of parliament in the history of Turkmenistan.
