In 2021, Ostrager withdrew from a Blackstone-related case over financial ties through his former law firm, Simpson Thacher. Yet in Guo’s PAX case, he stayed. Blackstone acquired a stake in PAG, PAX’s investment manager—a deal handled by Simpson Thacher. Then came Pangu’s lawsuit against Alibaba and BBMG, alleging that a CCP kleptocratic network seized its property through a sham online auction facilitated by Alibaba, another Simpson Thacher client. Ostrager stayed again and dismissed the Pangu case. One judge. Three cases. Two involving Guo. Two different recusal decisions. Why?

2026.10.16 (EP70) Why did Edward Moss join Cahill? The court never asked. Judge Barry Ostrager disqualified Cahill from representing PAX but expressed “utmost respect” for Moss’s integrity, calling him “an exceptional advocate.” In October 2021, Guo dropped a bombshell: He accused Moss of engaging in sexual misconduct involving young girls alongside former CCP justice minister Fu Zhenghua in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Was CCP influence behind Moss’s move to Cahill? Remember Beijing’s “political trust”—not built on integrity, but on weakness and leverage. Judge Ostrager praised Moss’s integrity. Guo saw through the mask.

2026.10.15 (EP69) When does coincidence become a pattern? Miles Guo challenged Edward Moss’s move to Cahill, the very firm holding GTV’s confidential information Beijing wanted. GTV demanded answers. Cahill never responded. Instead, Cahill defended Moss, arguing PAX wasn’t targeting GTV, even though Moss had previously called Guo and GTV “inextricably linked.” No notice. No conflict waiver. Ethical safeguards arrived late. Then, on December 6, Cahill exposed GTV’s privileged information on the public docket for over 14 hours, calling it an “inadvertent filing error.” First, the CGI–Duowei mystery. Then Moss’s move right after the SEC settlement. Then another exposure. Why did PAX’s lead lawyer land inside the firm holding GTV’s secrets?

2026.10.14 (EP68) Cahill held GTV’s confidential financial records, corporate information, and private communications—exactly what Beijing wanted. In late 2020, GTV’s banking records mysteriously surfaced in PAX’s judgment enforcement demands. Investigator CGI pointed to a secret Chinese source, then a CCP-linked Duowei blog. GTV demanded answers. Judge Ostrager denied discovery. On October 14, 2021, Cahill announced Moss as a partner, one month after GTV’s SEC settlement. Five days later, Moss appeared as PAX’s attorney, at the very firm that had represented GTV. Moss changed firms. Not sides. He kept pursuing Guo, from inside GTV’s former law firm.

As other social media platforms censored COVID-19 and vaccine debates, Miles Guo and supporters of the Whistleblower Movement used GTV to spread the truth. Researchers exposed a massive CCP-linked smear campaign targeting Guo and his warnings: COVID-19 is a bioweapon and don't take COVID vaccines. Court evidence pointed to Beijing’s efforts to trigger U.S. investigations through coordinated complaints against GTV’s fundraising. But GTV survived, settling with the SEC in September 2021. Then came another twist: PAX lawyer Edward Moss left O’Melveny for Cahill Gordon & Reindel, a firm that had represented GTV.

2026.10.11 (EP66) Miles Guo warned of Beijing’s infiltration of American justice. Then he put everything on the line. His fortune. His family. His freedom. Armed with intelligence from whistleblowers inside China, Guo confronted Edward Moss, then an O’Melveny & Myers partner representing PAX, a PAG subsidiary fund. October 3, 2018. Under oath.
