Virologists from L’Institut Pasteur in Paris have sequenced the genome of a genuine “Deltacron” variant after cases were confirmed in several regions of France.
A handful of cases of the variant have been identified, all traceable to the southern part of Africa. Prof Fancois Balloux says “there is no reason to get concerned” about the development.
