Hong Kong Former Chief Secretary of Administration John Lee Ka-chiu Locks Position of the Chief Executive

On April 14, Checkley Sin Kwok Lam (冼國林), who had previously announced his candidacy for running Hong Kong’s chief executive, announced his withdrawal from the election, leaving former Hong Kong Security Secretary John Lee Ka-chiu (李家超) as the only candidate.

The day before, Lee’s team had announced that he had won 786 votes, more than half of the 1,400 electors. This has in fact locked Li Jiachao as the next Chief Executive of Hong Kong. It once again demonstrates that the CCP, under the guise of democratic elections and by eliminating other candidates, makes their preferred candidate the ultimate winner.

Looking back at Lee’s resume and background, it is not difficult to find that he owes the Hong Kong people a huge blood debt. In January 2019, Lee, as the Chief Secretary for Administration, emphasised that the management of the concentration camps in Xinjiang is an effective example to follow. That same year in June, the anti-extradition bill movement broke out.

The brutal suppression and slaughter of Hong Kong people by the Hong Kong Security Bureau and the Hong Kong police shocked the whole world. Observers pointed out that since May 2019, Miles Guo has been warning the world that the CCP will make Hong Kong even worse. Now Lee is about to take office, once again confirming Miles Guo’s concerns.
