Higher rates of vaccination in the community may not have prevented half of Australia from being put into lockdown, according to Dr Brendan Murphy. Dr Murphy’s comments came in response to Labor Senator and committee chairwoman Katy Gallagher highlighting 13.5 million people were under stay-at-home orders, including in Australia’s two biggest cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
